Garden Club of Teaneck to learn about Japanese Gardens

GCT’s own Mary S. Topolsky will speak about Japanese Gardens and their relation to Japanese society and spirituality. She will show photos of different kinds of gardens as well as what designs, paths, fences, water features and plant materials distinguishes them.  Of particular interest to home gardeners will be suggestions for adapting these ideas and where to visit local Japanese Gardens.

Head of a garden design, installation and maintenance firm, Mary holds a certificate in Landscape Design from the New York Botanical Gardens and has designed gardens in North America (including the gardens in front of the Teaneck Public Library). Presently she is developing an addition to the Greenway along the Hackensack River in Teaneck. The public is welcome to come and learn. Free
