Did you know that nearly 15,000 people in the United States are diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML), a fast-growing cancer of the blood and bone marrow, each year?

Did you know that AML can affect people of any age and the cause of AML is unknown?

Did you know that one of the treatment for AML is Stem Cell or Bone Marrow Transplant? Unfortunately, finding a donor that is a perfect match for transplant is like finding a needle in a haystack?

EcoEd's best chance for a stem cell match will most likely be from a donor that is Jewish, between the ages of 18 – 44, with parents of Ashkenazi descent (Russian, Hungarian and Polish).

If you or someone you know matches this description, please encourage them to help save a life by becoming a stem cell or bone marrow donor on January 5, 2014 at the Stem Cell / Bone Marrow Drive.

For more information about being a donor, please read through the steps athttp://bethematch.org/Transplant-Basics/How-marrow-donation-works/Steps-of-bone-marrow-or-PBSC-donation/

If they are unable to make the drive on January 5, please refer them directly to www.BeTheMatch.org/join to register and a testing kit will be sent to them directly.

Help us find a donor for EcoEd and Others
Thousands of patients hope for a stem cell or bone marrow donor who can make their life-saving transplant possible. They depend on people like you. You have the power to save a life.
