Teaneck Volunteer Ambulance Corps, TVAC CELEBRATES 75th ANNIVERSARY

 TEANECK VOLUNTEER AMBULANCE CORPS (TVAC)WILL HOST EVENT TO CELEBRATE 75th ANNIVERSARY  
The Teaneck Volunteer Ambulance Corps (TVAC) is celebrating its 75th anniversary! There will be a celebration on Thursday, August 14th from 7pm to 9pm. The event will be held at the World of Wings Butterfly Museum (WOW) at 1775 Windsor Rd in Teaneck. WOW will be sponsoring a portion of the evening's venue which will include food, music, and fun. TVAC has been serving the community as one of the few all-volunteer emergency response organizations in Bergen County since its founding in 1939. TVAC members are New Jersey certified EMTs responding to over 4000 calls each year.  Every year TVAC chooses a person or organization that demonstrates their same spirit for community service. This year’s celebration is honoring the residents of Five Star Premier Residences of Teaneck for their support over the years. Formerly known as Classic Residence, the residents of Five Star have contributed over $250,000 to TVAC from special yearly in-house fundraisers. In addition, they will be co-sponsoring the anniversary celebration in honor of their 25 years of service-so the night commemorates two wonderful Teaneck organizations.

About TVAC
The Teaneck Volunteer Ambulance Corps was created in 1939 to serve the residents of Teaneck. Today, we have over 100 members who volunteer their time to respond to emergency calls in our community. The services of the Corps are entirely free of charge, whether the patients are residents of Teaneck, visitors, or individuals who need medical service while passing through the town. The Corps also renders service in nearby towns as part of a mutual aid system, again without charge.
