Teaneck Group to Host Bird Count

Participants have tallied more than 445,000 birds

The Teaneck Creek Conservancy will host the Bergen County Audubon Society for the "Great Backyard Bird Count" on Feb. 17. 

Now in its fourteenth year, the bird count involves tens of thousands of participants across the United States and Canada. Birders will identify species, count the birds and log the information on the Great Backyard Bird Count's website. 

In New Jersey, more than 1,600 participants have tallied 165 species and more than 445,000 birds.
