Got Drugs? Teaneck Police To Collect Medications

Township part of national effort to combat drug abuse

Residents looking to safely dispose of unused or expired medications can drop off the drugs at Teaneck Police Headquarters Saturday and Sunday as part of a national effort to combat prescription drug abuse.

Drugs will be collected at the township police station from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. both days, according to the department. The Drug Enforcement Administration-led program is free and anonymous.

“Americans participating in DEA’s six previous Take-Back Days turned in nearly 2.8 million pounds—almost 1,409 tons—of prescription drugs,” the DEA said.
