Teaneck Launches Thanksgiving Food Drive

Food drop-off locations around town

Teaneck police, township officials and community organizations have joined forces to help feed needy families this Thanksgiving, the town announced Monday.


Food donations are being collected at locations around Teaneck until Nov. 18. Requested items include canned vegetables, boxed stuffing, canned green beans, frozen turkeys, canned potatoes, cranberry sauce, boxed pies, and boxed macaroni and cheese.


Individuals and businesses can also donate money by making a check out to “Teaneck Township” with a reference on the bottom of the check to “Social Services.” Gift cards are also being accepted, the town said.

Teaneck’s Thanksgiving Food Drive is being coordinated by the police department’s community policing squad, Helping Hands Food Pantry, Teaneck Rotary Club and Hope Presbyterian Church.
