Patrick Kevin Grady, Longtime TFD Member

Husband, father, grandfather.

Patrick Kevin Grady, age 67, passed away on Monday, October 3, 2011 in Dover, NJ. He grew up in Dumont, NJ. and has resided in Jefferson Township, NJ for the past 37 years.

Patrick proudly served in the U.S. Army's 221st Reconnaissance Aviation Company during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Teaneck Fire Department for 33 years and retired with the rank of lieutenant. He also worked for Arrow Tree Service of Old Tappan, NJ for over 30 years.

After retiring, Patrick worked for the Jefferson Township Recreation Department. His interests included hunting, arboriculture, golfing, and the Jets. Pat was a proud member of the VFW and Past Commander of the American Legion Post 423. Pat was a parishioner of St John Vianney RC Church in Stockholm.

Patrick was pre-deceased by his parents John and Johanna (Josie) Grady (Sullivan) of Dumont NJ, his sister Anne and brother-in-law Jay Werner, and his brother Michael.  

He is survived by his beloved wife of 37 years Eileen Grady (Doyle), his daughter Siobhan Ferrazzano and her husband Michael of Hopatcong, NJ, his son Sean of Anchorage, AK; and his daughter Norah of Jefferson Township, NJ. and  his three adored grandsons: Gavin Anthony, Killian Padraig and Declan John Ferrazzano, He also leaves behind his brother James and his wife Ann Marie; his brother Thomas; his sister-in-law Barbara; his Doyle brothers and sisters-in-law; and many beloved nieces and nephews and their children.

Relatives and friends of Patrick and his family are invited on Friday, Oct. 7 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at the Stickle-Soltesz Funeral Home, 187 LaRue Road, Newfoundland.

Patrick's funeral mass will be held on Saturday, Oct. 8 at 10 a.m. at St. John Vianney Church in Stockholm followed by a luncheon at the American Legion Post 423 Milton Road.

Interment will be held on a later date.
