Crews Investigate Gas Odor Across Teaneck, Nearby Towns

Officials were checking numerous calls reporting a smell of natural gas across Teaneck and at least two other towns Thursday morning.

Public Service Electric and Gas crews were investigating, but haven’t located any gas leaks, company spokeswoman Kristine Lloyd said shortly before 11 a.m. The odor was also reported in Bergenfield and Dumont.

The strong gas smell was picked up around Teaneck Road, Queen Anne Road and near New Milford, residents said.
