A driver was killed after striking a utility pole early Sunday morning on New Bridge Road near River Road.
The victim, whose identity was not immediately released, was extricated from the single-vehicle crash and transported to Hackensack University Medical Center and later died, according to NJ.com.
A passenger was not injured in the crash, which occurred just after 1 a.m. Sunday, the article said.
