Englewood Cops Seek 'Probable Bank Robber' in Ski Mask, Skinny Jeans

Englewood Police are searching for a woman who they think may have entered a city bank Monday with the intentions of robbing it before getting “cold feet.”  

A woman wearing a ski mask, gloves, a tight leather jacket and what witnesses reported as “skinny jeans,” entered the PNC Bank at 1 Engle Street under ”extremely suspicious circumstances,” according to Englewood Police Detective Captain Tim Torell.

“Based on what we could determine from surveillance footage, it appeared the woman lingered outside on the sidewalk and hesitated to enter several times because of pedestrian traffic in and around the bank,” he said Wednesday.

The woman then entered through the front doors, walked several yards into the bank filled with customers and employees and scanned the room before turning around and leaving in a “very hurried fashion,” according to police. 

She headed in a southerly direction after leaving the bank, cops said.

The woman is approximately 5’3”, petite, and never displayed a weapon or uttered a word., according to police.

“Right now, we’re treating the incident as a probable bank robber who got 'cold feet' at the last minute,” Torell said.

Cops are in seeking to obtain additional video from surrounding businesses, he added.
