Flooding, Power Outages Hit Teaneck

Power was knocked out across Teaneck shortly after a strong storm hit the township Thursday night. 

Up to 2,000 customers were out in Teaneck, PSEG reported. 

Readers reported power out along Cedar Lane, near State Street and Teaneck Road. 

Flooding was also being reported on Old New Bridge Road. 

The National Weather Service issued the forecast below for Thursday into Friday:

Showers and thunderstorms before 1am, then showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm between 1am and 2am, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 2am. Some of the storms could produce gusty winds and heavy rain. Low around 66. Southwest wind around 6 mph becoming north after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
