An 18-year-old Hackensack woman was found dead in a Villanova dorm room Thursday morning.
Kinara Patel, a sophomore at the Villanova School of Business, was found dead inside a residence hall on the main campus of the Pennsylvania university, but there were "no obvious signs of foul play” or suicide, according to officials.
Patel was a graduate of Bergen Academies in Hackensack.
According to police, Patel had spent Wednesday evening out with friends in Bryn Mawr.
Villanova’s Vice President of Student Life Rev. John Stack expressed his condolences.
"We all extend our deepest sympathy to Kinara’s family and friends on this heartfelt loss," Stack said in a statement. "We ask that you keep Kinara and her family in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time."
