‘Night Out’ to Include Helicopter Landing, Rock Climbing at Votee Park

Teaneck police organizing town-wide celebration

The Teaneck Police Department is inviting residents to the town’s annual National Night Out event Aug. 6 at Votee Park.

The event, held across the country and in Canada, aims to boost support for anti-crime efforts and build bridges between police and the community.

Teaneck’s family-friendly celebration, organized by police department’s community policing squad, will include food, games, give-aways, a helicopter landing at the park, demonstrations of a crash rescue using the “Jaws of Life,” obstacle courses and inflatable slide, an Army rock climbing wall and more, according to a police announcement.
