Teaneck officials are scheduled to host a seminar in an effort to educate the public on a range of safety topics Sept. 9.
Teaneck Fire Chief Anthony Verley, Police Chief Robert Wilson and Emergency Management Coordinator Larry Robertson are expected to be on hand to answer questions and give presentations.
The Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office and county police are also likely to send representatives.
Councilman Elie Y. Katz, who helped organize the effort, said the event would address safety concerns for residents and local institutions, including schools, businesses and houses of worship.
The seminar is scheduled to run from 7:30 to 9 p.m. at the Richard Rodda Center in multipurpose room 1.
Anyone interested in attending is asked to RSVP to Katz at 201-715-5179 or firstname.lastname@example.org, or Councilman Yitz Stern at 201-803-3099 or email@example.com.
The event is co-sponsored by the Teaneck Chamber of Commerce and Teaneck Clergy Council.
