Owner of Some’s Uniforms Fatally Struck by Car in Hackensack

The 87-year-old owner of Some’s Uniforms, a well-known destination for public safety officers in the area, was fatally struck by a car in Hackensack Tuesday, according to a NorthJersey.com report.

Jerome S. Some was hit at approximately 7:30 p.m. while crossing Prospect Street, the report said, citing city police.

Some founded the business in 1956, catering to a wide range of uniformed officers including police and military personnel. He moved the store from Jersey City to Route 17 in Paramus before moving again to Main Street in Hackensack.
