Police: 63 Arrested for Breaking Into School, Urinating in Halls in Senior Prank

Teaneck High students face burglary and criminal mischief charges.

More than 60 Teaneck High School seniors were arrested early Thursday morning after a senior prank involved urinating in the hallways, smearing Vaseline on walls and door knobs, flipping over desks and littering the school with balloons.

"I've been a police officer 19 years, and this is the craziest thing I've ever seen," Teaneck Police Sgt. John Garland told NBC New York.

According to Acting Police Chief Robert Carney, officers responded to a burglar alarm at the school shortly after 2 a.m. Thursday. Officers found dozens of teens, some hiding, inside the school while others ran away, the report said.
