Prosecutor: Hackensack Man Sexually Assaulted Teaneck Girl, 11

A Hackensack man has been accused of repeatedly sexually assaulting an 11-year-old Teaneck girl, the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office said Tuesday.

Quashawn Nowlin, 19, allegedly abused the girl, described as an acquaintance, at least four times at her township home, Prosecutor John L. Molinelli said in a statement. Detectives with the prosecutor’s Special Victims Unit and Teaneck Police arrested Nowlin Monday.

The girl disclosed the abuse to her sister, who told her mother, authorities said. Her mother then alerted state child welfare officials, leading to the investigation.
