Teaneck Event to Educate Teens, Parents on Dangers of Distracted Driving

Township police to host the program Tuesday

The Teaneck Police Department's Community Policing Squad will present an educational program on the dangers of distracted driving.

The Hackensack University Medical Center Trauma Prevention and Clinical Education program is geared toward parents and teen drivers, and details the dangers of distracted driving, including using cell phones and texting while behind the wheel.

The event will be held at police headquarters at 900 Teaneck Road on Sept. 18 at 5:30 p.m. All members of the community are invited to attend.

Great idea! Question - Shouldn't this be a Holy Name Hospital (Teaneck) program?

I don't think it makes a difference if it's a program from Hackensack University Medical Center or if it's from Holy Name Medical Center. I'm sure all the local hospitals have different programs to benefit the community. Our community is served by several outstanding hospitals, all of which serve Teaneck residents.
