Teaneck Man Accused of Sexual Assault

50-year-old man was armed with a pellet gun when he tackled the woman early Sunday morning, police said.

A 50-year-old Teaneck man armed with a pellet gun sexually assaulted a woman early Sunday morning who worked at the facility where the man lived, the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office said.

Bum S. Suh has been charged with aggravated sexual assault, aggravated criminal sexual contact, criminal restraint, aggravated assault, possession of a weapon and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose.

According to Prosecutor John Molinelli, Suh approached the 33-year-old victim carrying a firearm, tackled the woman and "touched her in an inappropriate manner" early Sunday morning.

The firearm, which was later determined to be a pellet gun, discharged several times during the struggle, Molinelli said.

The woman was able to break free with the help of another resident and flagged down a passing motorist who contacted the Teaneck Police Department.

Suh was later arrested and the weapon was recovered. Suh has been remanded to the Bergen County Jail in lieu of $500,000 bail with no 10 percent option.
