Teaneck Post Office Closed After Roof Deemed Unsafe

West Englewood branch remains closed with all operations moved to the town's main office on Palisades Avenue.

The West Englewood post office was evacuated and closed Thursday after ceiling structural issues likely caused by heavy snow were discovered.

Officials determined a knee wall was pulling away from the roof and causing a hazard above the lobby area. The knee wall will need to be removed before the post office is able to re-open.

All of the operations were moved to Teaneck's main branch at 751 Palisades Ave., according to NJ.com.

Heavy snow has also caused several solar panels to fall at Teaneck schools this week.
