Teaneck firefighters extricated a man from a mangled car after a single-vehicle crash on Route 4 east Saturday morning.
Officials said the car's lone occupant suffered serious injuries, but was alert and conscious when he was pulled from the wreck, west of the Garrison Avenue bridge. The Teaneck Volunteer Ambulance Corps brought the unidentified driver to a local hospital.
The car he was in went off the highway and crashed into the woods around 9 a.m. His condition was not immediately available.
Bergen County Police said they were completing a report on the crash and would release more details later.
