Teaneck Sergeant Patrolling for Car Burglars Catches Alleged Crack Dealer

Man ducked into unlocked car to hide from police, authorities said.

A police sergeant looking for car burglars caught a crack dealer and his customer in the middle of a drug transaction early Wednesday, authorities said.

Teaneck Sgt. Seth Kriegel was on patrol near Crescent Avenue as part of an effort to stop a series of car burglaries when he saw what appeared to be a drug deal around 12:15 a.m., police said. The dealer hid inside an unlocked car nearby, but Kriegel approached him and found approximately $1,000 worth of crack cocaine and 13 small plastic bags of marijuana, police said.

The dealer, identified as 28-year-old Brooklyn resident Wisteven Antenor, originally from Bergen County, was charged with hindering apprehension, burglary, distribution of crack cocaine, distribution of marijuana and other drug offenses, police said.
