UPDATE: Police have reopened a southbound lane on Teaneck Road. Northbound traffic remains detoured as of 1 p.m. Closures will be in place for about 8 to 10 hours, according to police.
Teaneck Road was closed near Thomas Jefferson Middle School Thursday afternoon after a truck hit a utility pole outside the school.
Police were forced to block traffic in both directions between Vandelinda Avenue and Dohrman Avenue while crews worked to clear the crash. There were no reports of any serious injuries.

Public Service Electric and Gas workers were at the scene, but it was not immediately clear when Teaneck Road would be reopened.
