Robert Wilson Retires, Carney Named Acting Police Chief

Wilson's last day of work was Thursday with his retirement taking effect on Sept. 1.

Police Chief Robert Wilson announced his retirement earlier this month after three decades of service in Teaneck.

Wilson's retirement takes effect Sept. 1, but he began Thursday using accrued leave.

Deputy Chief Robert Carney has been named acting police chief.
