Delgado, She didn't sue the Town Council. She sued the Town. You & me.

I think who the suit was filed against is irrelevant. What is relevant is that all the Town's taxpayers footed the $25,000 bill. I'm not really sure I understand why someone who says they are here to SAVE the taxpayer money is actually COSTING them money.

Please watch youtbe video of my statement at the 4/24 Council meeting: http://youtu.be/bk2-n8mkf0k It will explain the entire situation. As you will see and hear, impoortantly, I did not sue the town for any money. I sued for the rescinding of the falsely applied censure and the return of my good name and my 35-year professional reputation. Given the nature of the work I do, my reputation is critical. I have not worked since the censure was levied -- the first time in 35 years that i have not earned enough to support myself. The Town Council put the entire township at risk by violating the the Employee Manual on which we spent $27,000 taxpayer dollars. This was done to enable the town to get outside insurance for the first time in years (we have been self-insured). The Employee Manual requires: 1) a complaint of harassment which was broiught against me by the manager meet the legal of definnition of harassment. His complaint did not. 2) Nonetheless, whatever the complaint, the Manual requires that for ANY complaint, an investigation be conducted by an outside investigator,

(continued)and 3) the Manual requires the names of accused and accuser be kept confidential. So the Council violated this Manual, possibly wasting the $27,000 of your money spent to pay lawyers to write it. And it very possibly put our outside insurance at risk -- which could ultimately cost the town a great deal of money. Also, any legal fees incurred woould ordinarily be covered by insurance. The Council's decision to act illegally in censuring me, may well put that coverage at risk. Please view my statement. Your anger should be directed at the Council for playing fast and loose with taxpayers' money and the law.

are we all forgetting that Ms Toffler who preaches "ethics" chose not to report the incident herself and if it wasnt for the video evidence probably would never have owned up to it,some ethics.
