Teaneck Council Members Plan Second Town Hall

Officials learned of speed limit concerns at last forum

Two township council members plan to hold their second town hall meeting next month to hear about community issues, they announced Monday.

Councilwoman Lizette Parker and Councilman Henry Pruitt will be on hand Aug. 4 from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. at the Richard Rodda Community Center, at 250 Colonial Court, to listen to residents.

“Residents are encouraged to come out to this community style meeting and voice your concerns,” the announcement said.

At the last forum, the council members said they learned a group of East Cedar Lane residents wanted to have the area’s speed limit lowered from 35 to 25 mph.

"It is very good to raise issues that are important to you in these listening sessions. It is very helpful to bring important concerns to the good and welfare portion of the council meetings also,” Parker said in a news release. “This participation by you will help us to support your concerns with the full council.”
