Athletic Director to Discuss Student Athletes at St. Mark's

An upcoming seminar at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church will highlight the benefits of being a scholar athlete.

Parents and students of all grades are invited to attend a free forum called “Scholar Athlete” on Feb. 8 at 10:30 a.m., presented by the Parent Center of Math Adventures and Word Play. 

Guest speaker David Langford, the director of athletics at Fairleigh Dickinson University, will discuss the importance of being a scholar athlete.

“Come and learn some important information that can help your scholar be successful in more ways than one. According to the NFL Players Association, it has been documented that players with degrees have a longer career than those without degrees. Having a strong academic background starting at an early age will not only prepare students for in the classroom but also on the field,” according to a release from the MAWP.

St. Mark’s Episcopal Church is located at 118 Chadwick Rd.
