FDU Campuses to Close Sunday

Students asked not to return to campus until after storm passes, according to University statement.

Both of Fairleigh Dickinson University’s New Jersey campuses will close Sunday through Tuesday evening as Hurricane Sandy nears the area, the University announced.

“Classes are canceled for Monday and Tuesday (October 29-30). Essential staff including campus safety and facilities staff are expected to report on schedule,” the school said in a statement on its website.

Non-essential operations at FDU will end at 6 p.m. Sunday, according to the website.

“Students who are away from campus are advised not to return until the emergency passes and to remain in a safe place. Students remaining on campus are advised to stay in close contact with the resident assistants and the Residence Life staff,” the statement added.

Updates for the FDU community will be posted via the FDU Alert System and school website.
