The Teaneck Terpsichoreans— better know as the Terpsys—are presenting their 43rd dance season with performances modeled after Broadway themed shows.
Under the direction of Cheryl Miller-Porter, the students—grades kindergarten through 12th—will perform many favorites as well as new dance numbers. The performances will highlight modern, jazz, ethnic, ballet and hip-hop presentations, according to a release from the group.
Show times are Feb. 15 at 8 p.m. and Feb. 16 at 3 p.m. and 8 p.m. in the Helen B. Hill auditorium in Teaneck High School.
Tickets can be purchased in the Helen B. Hill auditorium at Teaneck High School nightly between the hours of 7 p.m. and 8 p.m. and on weekends between the hours of noon and 3 p.m.
Tickets cost $15. Advanced ticket sales are recommended.
The Teaneck Terpsys will have a memorial program for former educator Margaret Maudelle Nelson, who was very active with the Terpsys. The program will take place on Sunday, Feb. 16 at 10 a.m. in the Cheryl Miller-Porter Student Center. A scholarship is being established in her memory for a graduating high school senior. Funds are now being accepted for the scholarship.
