Threat of Hurricane Sandy Closes Teaneck Schools

Gov. Chris Christie earlier called on New Jersey schools to close because of the storm.

Teaneck public schools will be closed Monday as Hurricane Sandy is expected to slam the region, the district announced Sunday afternoon.

All district events and activities are also cancelled.

Gov. Chris Christie had called on all New Jersey schools to close in light of the storm.

Fairleigh Dickinson University’s New Jersey campuses will also close Sunday evening through Tuesday evening, the school announced earlier.

Teaneck officials have urged residents to prepare immediately for the possible impacts of the massive storm.
