Teaneck Cinemas Set To Open After Film Festival Sneak Peak

Cedar Lane will soon be home to revamped movie theater

Teaneck Cinemas, the town’s lone movie theater, is set to reopen for Thanksgiving after renovations are fully completed, according to a message from the theater.

The movie theater hosted screenings over the weekend for the Teaneck International Film Festival, giving guests a first look inside the remodeled cinema.

“We will be closing for about one week afterwards for finishing touches and then reopening for Thanksgiving! Thanks to everyone who's come so far,” a message on the theater’s Facebook page said.

New manager Matt Latten took over the movie house, once called Cedar Lane Cinemas, after the former owner shut down the theater in December, citing the high cost of upgrading to a digital projection system.

Work to modernize the aging theater have been ongoing for months, including a digital marquee and projection system, new seats and other major improvements to the interior.
