Teaneck Stingrays Dominate Dragons in Sportsplex Inaugural Game

The Teaneck Stringrays emerged triumphant in the Votee Sportsplex inaugural game.

The first ever game at the Votee Park Sportsplex did not disappoint as the Teaneck Stingrays Soccer Club faced the Dragons Soccer Academy and rolled on to an impressive 7-1 victory.

The Stingrays struck first as T.J. Middle School student Kyle Linhares scored the first goal at the new facility Sunday, April 27.

The new playing field wasn't always as majestic and friendly to soccer as it is now. Paul Mitchel founded the Stingrays organization in 1991, and his sons Kirk and Jared, who coached the boys to victory last month, recall having to fight for a decent spot to play when soccer wasn't as popular.

The Teaneck Organization touts being supportive to those serious about the game and have grown since their humble beginnings, with some of their teams being nationally ranked.

Those interesting in joining the organization may visit the Teaneck Organization's website for more details.
