FDU Reopened After Teaneck Water Main Break

The Fairleigh Dickinson University campus in Teaneck has been reopened and water was flowing again to 100 township residents Wednesday morning after crews worked overnight to repair a broken 30-inch main, officials said.

A contractor struck the water main Tuesday afternoon near River Road and Maple Avenue, according to a United Water spokesman. Crews needed to shut off water service to River Road-area residents while making repairs.

About 400 FDU students were moved from dorms in Teaneck to the University’s Hackensack campus, the school said.
