Meeting To Explore Bus Service Improvements in Bergen County

Study examines bus routes for possible upgrades

A forum Wednesday will allow the public to give feedback on a study exploring how to improve bus service in Bergen County, officials announced.

NJ Transit and Bergen County’s Department of Planning and Economic Development will present a study on rolling out what’s dubbed Bus Rapid Transit in the area. Officials will also take questions on the initiative.

The Bus Rapid Transit program includes a range of possible improvements, including bus lanes and routes with fewer stops. The meeting will also address a list of routes possibly slated for the system upgrades.
