Event planned at Glenpointe next week.
Gov. Chris Christie will attend a fundraiser at the Glenpointe Marriott May 8, a state Republican party spokesman confirmed. The cocktail party will cost $250, while dinner guests will pay $1,500, according to a northjersey.com report. Supporters who want to be a “host” of the event will have to contribute or raise $10,000. A June fundraiser for Christie at Glenpointe drew protests with signs criticizing budget cuts and model helicopters mocking the governor’s use of a state police chopper to fly to his son’s baseball game. Christie, however, had to skip that event for official business in Trenton. Follow Patch on Facebook and Twitter
