Newark Mayor Cory Booker delivered a rousing speech at Fairleigh Dickinson University’s 69th Commencement Tuesday, telling the more than 2,000 graduates to use their success to inspire others. Newark Mayor Cory Booker has been selected as Fairleigh Dickinson University's commencement speaker, the University said Tuesday. Booker will receive an honorary doctorate during FDU's 69th Commencement May 15 at the IZOD Center, according to the school. New York Times Executive Editor Jill Abramson and Minnesota Vikings owner and FDU alum Zygmunt “Zygi” Wilf will also receive honorary degrees. The school will present Student Pinnacle Awards to Morrine Omolo from the Metropolitan campus in Teaneck, Jessica Dingman from the College at Florham campus and Juliana Fiorentino from FDU-Vancouver.
