The following is a letter from Teaneck Chamber of Commerce President Larry Bauer: Dear Friend, One of our members recently received a phone solicitation call from an individual that purportedly was soliciting advertising for the Teaneck High Sports Yearbook. Our member was wise enough not to place any orders over the phone and requested that material be sent via e-mail so that it could be properly reviewed. When the caller indicated that there was nothing readily available via e-mail, but yet was able to rattle off all the ad sizes and prices, but could not or rather would not note it in writing, red flags were raised. Initiative seeks to make sign, facade upgrades simpler for local merchants.
A new program aims to improve business districts in Teaneck by giving merchants a streamlined way to upgrade their storefronts, officials announced. Under the program, local merchants receive guidance from Construction Official Steven Gluck before submitting plans for sign and facade upgrades. If the application meets certain criteria, the township could grant approvals within ten business days from the time the completed applications are submitted, according a press release from the Chamber of Commerce. Gluck said he would walk the businesses through the application process and discuss their plans. Sale price not public, company spokesman says.
The Verizon building on Teaneck Road is back on the market after a prospective buyer backed out of a deal to purchase the facility, a company spokesman said Wednesday morning. “We did have a potential buyer,” said Verizon spokesman John Bonomo. “The potential buyer decided not to move forward with it [the sale].” Bonomo said he did not know why the buyer backed out, but noted the buyer did have a period of time to do due diligence, which could include reviewing plans for the property, preparing bids and having engineers review the facility. Bonomo declined to release the sale price. “Since there wasn’t an agreement at this point for the party to purchase it, a sale price wouldn’t be public,” he said. I don't agree with the answers to FAQ's most of the time your question is not there-or it's just more aggravating then helpful.
