Locals head to Washington for President Obama's second inauguration
The following was submitted by the Teaneck Terpsys: On Sunday Cheryl Miller–Porter, founder of the Teaneck Terpsys, accompanied by several Terpsy alumnae and their children will travel to Washington, DC again to witness the inauguration of President Barack Obama’s second term. Four years ago, 11 staff members and their children made the trip to DC to witness history being made with the election of the first Black president. Cheryl Miller-Porter’s involvement with the Civil Rights movement at a young age propelled her to share a personal story of struggle for equality with all youth that she comes into contact.
