Teaneck Police Searching For Hit-and-Run Driver

A man was hospitalized after a driver hit him at the intersection of Queen Anne Road and Court Street.

Teaneck Police are searching for a driver who hit a pedestrian and injured the man's face Monday afternoon.

A man in his 20s was crossing the intersection of Queen Anne Road and Court Street at about 12:30 p.m. when he was struck by a driver in a "newer" red Volvo with New York plates, according to Teaneck Police Sgt. Douglas Alcott.

The driver fled the scene, possibly in the direction of Route 4 East, Alcott said. Police were still looking for the driver.

The pedestrian was transported to Holy Name Medical Center with lacerations to his face.
