Teaneck Welcomes Al’s Charcoal Pit to Cedar Lane

Former Louie's waiter celebrates opening of new eatery

Local and state elected officials recently gathered to celebrate the grand opening of Al’s Charcoal Pit, the new diner launched on Cedar Lane by an ex-Louie’s Charcoal Pit waiter.

Assemblyman Gordon Johnson and Teaneck Mayor Mohammed Hameeduddin were on hand to cut the ribbon with ex-Louie's staffer K. M. S. Alom. A crowd of Al's fans from around the area also gathered at the new eatery at Cedar Lane and Elm Avenue.

The diner-style restaurant promises to offer a menu similar to longtime Teaneck staple Louie’s Charcoal Pit, which closed late last year.
