Teaneck to Hold Flu Clinics

Flu shots available at the Richard Rodda Community Center

The following information was issued by the township health department:

The Township of Teaneck will hold its influenza vaccination clinics on the following dates and times:


Thursday, October 17th   -    10:30AM to 12:30PM

The clinics will be held at the Richard Rodda Community Center’s Medical Outreach Office (upstairs – 2nd floor). To register or schedule an appointment, please call (201) 837-1600 ext. 1500. Applications will be completed on the day of your scheduled appointment.

To be eligible to register, you must be 50 years of age or older, pregnant, or chronically ill with a doctor’s order. In addition, you must be a Teaneck resident. Proof of residency must be provided at the time of your scheduled appointment.


As per the Centers For Disease Control (CDC), the 2013-2014 seasonal influenza vaccine will protect against A/California/7/2009 (H1N1) pdm09-like virus, A(H3N2) & B/Massachusetts/2/2012-like virus.


Pneumonia shots will also be provided at the clinic. The shots will be administered at NO charge to those having MEDICARE PART B (proof must be provided at time of appointment). All others will be charged for their shots ($25) for influenza and ($75) for pneumonia.


Payment is required prior to vaccination for those without Medicare Part B. Only payment by check will be accepted. If you have any questions, please call the Teaneck Public Health Nurse at (201) 227-6251.
